The main problem for me, I think, was the ridiculously niaive underlying message that ran through the film and triumphed at the end. And that's all good, I like something a bit odd and different. It's an odd film in many ways sort of Matrix meets Mad Max meets Monkey (if you remember that) run through the Disney machine. The triplets from Brave are there in the guise of a criminal baby's three friends, for example, and various other Disney side characters seem present in one form or another. Instead of coming up with anything new it rehashes old ideas. It's also guilty, I think, of lacking freshness. No songs and, though humorous in places, not particularly funny. Raya passed an evening but just didn't seem to stand out in any way. For myself, I love Mulan for its humour, Tangled for its quirky Romance and Moana for its hilarity and zanyness. My wife and I are not too proud to enjoy a Disney cartoon. I have two daughters aged 12 and 15 and they both enjoyed this a lot. The ultimate viewing experience for Raya. More pixels also means more colours, deeper darks, and brighter brights, and augmented clarity, and contrast. With four times the amount of pixels, you’ll enjoy four times the level of detail. The Story Behind The Storyboard with John Ripa ĤK offers enough pixels to fill four full HD 1080pp screens. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned - and it's up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and unite its divided people. But when evil threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Walt Disney Animation Studios' Raya And The Last Dragon travels to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together in harmony long ago.
